Hotel Emilia is located right in the centre of Hämeenlinna, along the pedestrian promenade. The hotel's address is Raatihuoneenkatu 23, 13100 Hämeenlinna.

Right next to the Hotel Emilia, Barracks Street However, there is a pay and display (Mon-Fri 8-18 and Sat 8-16) and for longer parking, the nearest parking garage Kaivoparkki is located next to the Goodman Shopping Centre, more information and conditions on the Hämeenlinna Parking website.

In the backyard of Hotel Emilia you will find a few free parking spaces where you can park your car for two hours (weekdays 8-18 and Saturdays 8-14).

Our hotel also has a private and heated garage, which costs €14/day. However, garage spaces are limited and must be booked in advance at reception.

Unfortunately, Hotel Emilia does not have its own in-vehicle parking, but there are two in-vehicle parking spaces in the city near our hotel. For more information about accessible parking, please contact our hotel.

Check-in at Hotel Emilia starts at 15:00, check-out must be done by 12:00. However, if you wish to have a later check-in time, please contact our staff at the hotel reception.

Hotel Emilia does not have its own restaurant, but Restaurant Piparkakkutalo is located just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, at Kirkkorinne 2.

Yes it is! Hotel Emilia's rich buffet breakfast is available from 6:00-09:00 on weekdays and from 7:30-10:30 on weekends and public holidays.

Our breakfast is also available for those who are not staying at our hotel. Breakfast costs 15,00 €, children 1 €/year. Breakfast for non-hotel guests is served Mon-Fri 7:00-09:00 and Sat-Sun 8:00-10:30.

Hotel Emilia is a pet-friendly hotel with a few pet rooms. So your pets are welcome here too!

However, for more detailed enquiries, we recommend contacting us by email at hotelliemilia@hotelliemilia.fi. This will enable us to ensure that we have a room available just for you.

An extra bed is available in some of the Standard rooms at €26/night.
Children under 4 years stay free of charge in a parent/guardian's bed. For children under 1 year olds, we have cots available free of charge and for children aged 4-10 years we offer a mattress for €10 per night if an extra bed is not available.

Hämeenlinna has plenty to do for everyone! Hämeenlinna's most famous is of course the almost thousand-year-old Häme Castle, which is steeped in history.

We also highly recommend enjoying Hämeenlinna's many outdoor activities, cafés and restaurants, theatre, and museums. Find out more on the City of Hämeenlinna website.

A great alternative is Aulango Park Forest, which offers Finnish beauty and peace amidst the hustle and bustle, which can also be enjoyed from Lake Aulango from a rowing boat. You can borrow a city boat free of charge from the beach at the Aulango open-air hut. These boats are available at several locations around Hämeenlinna!

If booked directly at Hotel Emilia, via the booking channel on the website, by phone or e-mail, a single room can be cancelled free of charge 24 hours before the start of the reservation. After this period, 100% of the room price will be charged. Cancellation must be made through the same channel from which the booking was made.

Note! Booking and cancellation conditions do not apply to Non-ref rooms. Except in the case of a verifiable case of illness, in which case cancellation is possible free of charge.

This cancellation policy does not apply to group bookings, nor to quota bookings, unless otherwise agreed. Please note that this cancellation policy does not apply to bookings made through third party booking channels (e.g. Booking.com), where the cancellation policy set by the booking channel will apply.

At Hotel Emilia, sustainability is part of everything we do. In May 2023, we opened a completely renovated hotel, where we made the most of the old by renewing and recycling. 

We commissioned the Good Travel Seal, which assesses sustainability and responsibility by independent experts. In June 2024, we were awarded the Fair and Responsible Travel Level 2 (Silver) label. You can find out more about the certificate here.

Hotel Emilia is partially accessible.

The main entrance to the Hotel Emilia has two steps with a handrail and a larger threshold when entering from the car park. During the day, when the adjacent Business Park is open, there is also fully accessible access to our hotel. On the Business Park side of the property there is also a wheelchair accessible toilet facility, which is also available to our guests with staff guidance.

Our hotel has a lift, which allows unobstructed access to all floors. The buttons on the lift are raised and the button on the exit floor is green and more raised than the other buttons. The lift also has a mirror and a handrail.

On the third floor, close to the lift, there is also a larger room with facilities for people with reduced mobility. The room also has two toilets, the larger of which is equipped with an accessible toilet. The room numbers are illuminated.

There are also stairs leading to the different floors. The stairs have a handrail on both sides and a resting platform between the floors. On the upper floors, there is a door between the lift and the staircase for added safety. The lighting in the corridors is automatic and the floor numbers are in green so that they stand out from the wall.

In the breakfast area and lobby bar of Hotel Emilia, we have tried to keep the order of the tables clear so that wheelchair users can also move around.
